As we start our Christmas preparations for the season ahead, there is one place where the festivities are already in full swing. Back for its eleventh year, Kew Gardens welcomes visitors to explore their grounds under the cloak of night to experience a light trail like no other.

From now until early January, immerse yourself in an awe-inspiring Christmas spectacular, where you can see the Royal Botanic Gardens transformed into a wonderland of music and light.

Follow the guided footpath as it weaves you through the grounds with an impressive 3km trail of enchanting illuminations, all brought to life by artists and collectives from across the globe. Take a stroll through sparkling passageways as lights twinkle and flicker to the familiar melody of your favourite Christmas music, with each installation transporting you to another world entirely.

Start with a wander down Camellia Walk as it transforms into a snowy lane before finding yourself amongst the illuminated lawns where ribbons of colour lure you towards Temperate House. Heed to the gentle sound of water breaking as droplets of warm light skip along Lake Crossing, the bridge lined with a canopy of mist arches.

Like walking through pages of a fairytale, each scene is a treat for your senses. With a fairground, food stalls, and bars scattered throughout, enjoy the evening at your own pace and soak up the whimsical atmosphere.

Round off the evening with the incredible water and projection show across Palm House, a show stopping finale that will have you singing 'Step into Christmas' all the way home.
